2016 Nissan Altima Specs: Unchanged, Still Aggressive and Responsive

Nissan Altima specs under 2016 model are still same with the previous model. Nissan did that because hoping it will get the same success of the sales as the previous model did.

Nissan Altima Specs are not changed from 2015 model year. It means for 2016 model Altima has same power and performance. However, it doesn’t mean there is no improvement inside and outside. Nissan did this because of the success of last year sales. It jumps by 5 % from the target. Nissan can deliver 335,644 units. This is a good momentum to repeat the success by adding some little changes. The new model will become sportier. The significant facelift will attract more customers to drive this car.

So, what you will like from the new model is from the sportier design that is inspired from the gorgeous and marvelous Maxima. For the interior, it has been crafted so nicely. Power and performance are perfected with the strong fuel efficiency. However, the engine options are not changed. The customers will have the same engine as 2015 Nissan Altima. This new Altima has a tough competition with Honda and Toyota. However, the result will be on the hands of the customers.

Since the interior is not changed significantly, Nissan add plenty new features. We can look at the redesigned center stack, refined steering wheel, new cup holders and many more including for the Zero Gravity seats that are updated with softer materials. Otherwise, for the exterior design, you may see the significant change especially for the front end. The grille is more muscular with V-shaped. The engine hood is reshaped too. The headlamps are even slimmer and longer. The bumper is more muscular.

The customers have two options of engine. First is with 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine. This engine can deliver 182 HP at 6,000 rpm. The torque is 180 lb ft at 4,000 rpm. It accelerates so nicely from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.5 seconds and the top speed is 130 mph. The second engine is with 3.5-liter DOHVCV6 engine. It can boost 270 HP at 6,400 rpm and 251 lb ft of torque at 4,400 rpm. Both are equipped with Xtronic CVT transmission and have new shift logic. This makes the acceleration more responsive.

Nissan Altima Specs are impressive although they are unchanged. However, to compare with the rivals like 2016 Honda Accord and 2015 Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima looks ready. Furthermore the list of affordable price ranges from $22, 500 USD for the base model, Altima 2.5 to $32, 090 USD for the top model, Altima 3.5 SL. Compared with the rivals, the prices are very competitive.
